My Dearest Kula,

Thank you from the depths of my soul for your kindness and love during this most difficult season of my life. So many of you have written, texted, called, sent cards and gifts and I am overwhelmed with gratitude.

As you can imagine, and as so many of you know all too well, the past two weeks have been exhausting, painful and sorrowful. But! each time I read one of your lovely messages or heard your voices, I was strengthened to take another breath and to remember the lessons of this beautiful thing called Yoga.

I often turn to these words from the Bhagavad Gita for comfort. Perhaps they will also serve those of you that have experienced tremendous loss:

"The learned mourn neither for the dead or those not yet dead. Never was I not...nor you, or these lords of the people. Nor will any of us ever not be --- for all exist from now forward...

What ends is just these bodies embodied of indestructible, immeasurable, endless being."

Inhale. Exhale.

Classes resume this week. In addition to my usual Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM offerings, I will be teaching online with The Happy Yogi Studio on Mondays at 11:30 and on Saturdays at 10:00 AM. Also, if you are in the Chevy Chase area, I will be teaching a hybrid (in-person and online) class at Circle Yoga at 7:00 PM on Thursdays.
