Don't Forget to Pause

Hello Folks!

I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and had many reasons to be grateful. It was a hard one for me with this being the first without my Mom but my older brother's in-laws invited me to their home for dinner and truly made me feel like part of the family. For that, I am grateful.

This season also comes with its own flavor of busy, so I want to remind you this week to simply pause. Here are a few ways that you can do that:

  1. Turn down invitations. You don't have to go everywhere and see everyone that you know. Spread it out even if some get togethers are after the "official" holiday season.
  2. Delegate. Encourage potluck or if your budget allows, hire a caterer. Have your entire household pitch in with cleaning or again, if your budget permits, hire out.
  3. Divide and Conquer. Don't host every gathering, allow someone else the honor of having loved ones in their home too.

I hope this helps you pause and get some rest as we celebrate the season! Of course, always take a pause for yourself and practice yoga with me.
