This Week, I'm Choosing Hope

Hello Yogins,

No, I'm not going full scale unicorn-rainbow but I am consciously looking for what's good in this world and how I in my own humble way can bring hope into the world. Here are five things that I'm doing or thinking about to stay hopeful this week.

  1. I'm learning how to garden via my students (many of you are avid gardeners!), YouTube and the Food Revolution Network. I'm finding hope in the fact that on my tiny bit of land, I can make a difference by adding biodiversity and who doesn't feel empowered after they learn how to grow their own food!
  2. I just signed up to teach IN PERSON beginning in August at Circle Yoga in Chevy Chase. Stay tuned for details as we move closer to the date.
  3. I have spent the past few months teaching yoga to children and have hope for the future, especially as more schools and parents embrace what yoga can do for the little ones.
  4. Not really a hope per se but I am looking forward to traveling to the Telluride Yoga Festival this month where I'll be assisting my teacher Amy Ippoliti as well as learning from teachers of different schools of yoga and of course avoiding the mid-Atlantic humidity. I will also be going to the Finger Lakes in July to study philosophy with Dr. Douglas Brooks. So, in other words, come Autumn I'll have loads of new things to share with you all.
  5. I'm hopeful that all of you will and do stick with your yoga practice. Asana, Pranayama and Meditation are a great ways to maintain both physical and mental health as we move through these times.

I look forward to sharing more as we practice Monday at 12:30 and Thursday at 9:00. Register Here: https://www.toembodyyoga.com/offerings
