Hot, Cool, Cold, Warm

the Temp is Always Right for Yoga!

Hello Yoga People,

I hope that you had a good, productive, yet restful weekend. I am adjusting to my new normal and it is an emotional roller coaster ride. Thanks to all of you that come to class and practice with me: it truly does mean the world to me to be in your company.

How are you handling the change in temperature and light? Here are some things that I do come Autumn:

  1. Go through my closet and home to see what needs to be donated, sold, repurposed or sold. Clear the clutter as we enter the holiday season.
  2. Eat root vegetables. It's Vata season, kids! This means that the winds and dryness will increase and legend has it that consuming root vegetables can help us feel more grounded. My favorite: the Japanese sweet potato. Trust me!
  3. Fall planting. My Mom wanted a new tree in her front yard. I'm gonna make that happen! I'm also going to prepare for de-lawning.

Feel free to share your Autumn plans especially if you have gardening tips for me. I love hearing from you even if you can't make it to practice. That's what having a kula is all about.
