Hi %FIRSTNAME%,

It's hard watching the hard work of Dr. King and his fellow Civil Rights warriors fall to pieces before our eyes. But, here we are. I honestly don't know what to write to you this week without confirming what you already know, even if you're only casually paying attention to the news. And that is: the United States is in a moral crisis.

I decided to share a quote from my latest Substack essay as tonight's photo as I find it to be most appropriate at this time. We cannot wait for King or even Krishna to save us. We must save ourselves. We save ourselves by being decent. We save ourselves by reading actual books that tell our complete history. We save ourselves by not cowering in fear but marching bravely (some of you never stopped marching)! We save ourselves by calling our elected lawmakers, no matter what side of the aisle, and demand that they too stand for decency.

In Yoga News: The Beginner's Series is coming. Online, in the evening. Exact day and time is upcoming. If you have been away from practice for a while, if you have friends and family that you think can benefit, if you are a yoga teacher and want to learn how to teach a beginner's series then this is for you or for you to share.
