Don't Forget to Rest....

As summer winds down, many of us are traveling, preparing for the upcoming school year and yes, some us may be returning to the office, in real life, if we haven't already done so. But during this whirlwind that is the end of summer it is still important to get plenty of rest. Below are my tips for being refreshed for the upcoming hustle and bustle of autumn.

  1. You guessed it! Get plenty of rest. Sleep, relaxation and sitting.
  2. Take advantage of all of the in-season fruits and vegetables so that your health is optimized for the upcoming autumn and winter months. This will give you both energy and strengthen the immune system especially if you are going to in person work and school. Remember Covid is still a thing!
  3. Turn down invitations. Don't over do it by saying yes to every cookout, beach outing or road trip. Pace yourself. Yes, summer is ending but soon the holidays will be upon us with more opportunities to see family and friends.
  4. Take the time to listen to nature. Late summer is my favorite time to hear all of the different songs performed by wildlife -- no app needed!
  5. Keep good company. Good friends will fortify your soul as we return to post-Summer life.
