The Richness of Yoga
Julie Holly | JAN 23, 2022
A friend once asked what I do in my free time, and true to my yoga-nerd form, I said, " I study yoga." He laughed not understanding that yoga is far more than the poses that we perform on the mat. The poses (asana) are great and take years of dedication and hard work to express fully, but they are merely the tip of the iceberg in the study of yoga.
One of the things I enjoy studying are the myths that invite us to more fully understand ourselves and our world and that's how I first met Brahma, pictured above. Brahma is one of the three main gods that permeate Hindu mythology. He is credited with being the Creator and works along side Vishnu and Shiva. I hope that you join me as we deepen our practice. We meet live on Monday at 12:30 PM and Thursday at 9:00 AM with replays available 24 hours (more or less) after class. See you soon, and stay warm!
Julie
