Hi %FIRSTNAME%,

This time last year I was still in India. I was warm, with great friends and surrounded by the gods. It was wonderful!

Obviously, I knew the results of the election but I did not know how bad things would already be just shy of one year since this administration took over. Many of you have told me how you look forward to this weekly read for a spark of sunshine and positivity. I thank you for your feedback and it always welcome. This week, however, it is tough to be positive in the midst of so much that is so horribly wrong.

I guess all I have is this: as long as we are drawing breath in and out, we will fight. We use our yoga to nourish ourselves, our families and our communities. We work towards removing the sickness that has taken over our federal government and restore sanity and compassion. The world is counting on us to do this as well as future generations.

On a brighter note, I discovered something about an Ancestor of mine. He was Private George D. Hammond and he was my great-uncle, my maternal grandmother's brother. He gave his life in defense of the United States Constitution and served (and died) while being a part of the famed Red Ball Express that kept supplies flowing 24/7 to the troops on the frontline. It is for his sake, and those like him, that we must press on until our Constitution is once again the law of the land.

And of course we can come together on our mats. Here is the schedule:
